Instructions
- Create a sub folder off the root folder
of your Web site. We recommend naming your folder eHelp,
but you may choose any name you wish.
- Give your eHelp/data folder permissions. To
operate properly, your CyberStrong eHelp data folder, and its
children folders, will require modify
permissions for the "IUSR_<Machine Name>". If you plan to modify
files via the File Manager in the eHelp Control Panel then simply
set modify permissions on the eHelp folder and its children instead.
If you need assistance in setting your folder permissions, please
see these
screen
shots.
- Unpack the contents of the zip file you received
with your order into
the eHelp folder. Your zip file contains a number of sub folders so be sure to check the
box "Use sub folder names" (or the like) when you unzip.
- Test your server. CyberStrong eHelp comes with a utility
to test your database connectivity and server compatibility. We strongly recommend running
these tests prior to attempting to operate your application.
- Test your installation. Your database comes
pre-configured with two reps and two categories. Begin by creating a
user profile and submitting a ticket. To launch your CyberStrong eHelp
user interface, load the following address into your browser: http://<your
domain name>/<your eHelp folder>/eHelp.asp.
Many of the common problems encountered when setting up
your CyberStrong eHelp are covered on our support page. |
